Algonquin Theatre is now fully licensed and ready to entertain

Not only is the Algonquin Theatre now fully licensed—which means you can now sip on your wine or beer in the comfort of your seat while watching a show—but an incredible lineup awaits you this winter. “We’re really busy which is great,” says theatre manager Matt Huddlestone.

If you’re looking for a special gift for that one person in your life who loves the arts—or someone you think could get out more—gift certificates are available. They have no time restriction and can be used for any show, notes Huddlestone.

Here’s a glimpse of some of what the theatre has in store for patrons:

I do not appreciate people getting up and down for drinks or having them slopped on me while I am trying to enjoy a show. I do not go to the Deerhurst shows for that reason. We were there once and never went back so I guess that will be the same for the theatre now.

Why does everyone have to sell liquor? Can’t people just go and watch a show without drinking??? Waste of time. Or is it a money maker????

  3. Susan Godfrey says:

Sorry, but our lovely theatre is not the superdome. The biggest challenge will be navigating the stairs (near carpet and other peoples’ seats) with red wine.
