“The LYT™ Method is a smarter, safer, and more efficient approach to yoga,” said Lara Heimann, creator.
It is the only Yoga practice that pulls from the functional teachings of physiotherapy as well as human anatomy. Can you confidently say that you are moving through your day to day truly connected with your body’s full capabilities?
LYT™ creator, Lara Heimann, said that, “The body is made to move, and it is made to bring us freedom. A freedom that helps us challenge ourselves, push our limits, and achieve unthinkable things.”
Lara developed LYT™ based on three principles: Physiology, Kinesiology, and Neurology. LYT™ Yoga will take your body on a journey to become the best version of yourself. It will lead you to be more balanced, stronger and more resilient–not just on the mat but through your day-to-day.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with LYT™ yoga, or are actively involved in other styles of yoga, take a couple of minutes to watch these three videos as the creator of LYT™ Yoga explains the rationale behind this style of yoga. (Video credit: Lara heimann, LYTyoga.com)
Phase 1: Reset
Phase 2: Mobilization
Phase 3: Integration
My personal journey with LYT™ began two and a half years ago while I was living in Princeton, New Jersey. I had a nagging shoulder injury that I had just learned to live with.
The most magical aspect of LYT™ is not only will it make you stronger, more balanced and more adaptable, but it teaches you how to move in the safest and most optimal way.
Over the course of just a few months I noticed my shoulder pain dissipating more and more each time I rolled out my mat. Learning how to safely move my shoulder by using the supportive muscles around the joint allowed me to improve function and eliminated my pain.
About one year later I happily found out I was pregnant. I had no doubt that I was going to be able to continue to practice LYT™ throughout my whole pregnancy, and with the added attention to core integration and setting a neutral pelvis, I knew it was going to bring me the strength I needed.
After giving birth to my daughter I knew that I needed to share my love of LYT™ with as many people as would listen! I signed up for the LYT™ 200hr Teacher Training. Now, I am able to help others transform the way they move on and off the mat. LYT™ Yoga is your one stop shop! It will build your strength while bringing your heart rate up. Not only does LYT™ improve your physical state it will lift you up mentally as well. As an added benefit, the act of slowly noticing little aches and pains washing away each time you roll out your mat will keep you wanting more.
