{"id":99954,"date":"2021-07-06T15:43:38","date_gmt":"2021-07-06T19:43:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=99954"},"modified":"2021-07-06T16:00:57","modified_gmt":"2021-07-06T20:00:57","slug":"local-entrepreneurs-receive-30000-in-founders-choice-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/local-entrepreneurs-receive-30000-in-founders-choice-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Local entrepreneurs receive $30,000 in Founders Choice Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Submitted by the Muskoka Founders Circle<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three local companies have received a total of $30,000 from the Muskoka Founders Circle, a group of Muskoka-based business professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting entrepreneurism in Muskoka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Founders Choice Awards are given annually to local entrepreneurs whose start-up businesses are deemed to have the greatest potential to grow, be profitable, add local jobs, and contribute to the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is the third year for our awards and once again we were impressed with the quality of applications received,\u201d said Rick Dalmazzi, executive chair of Muskoka Founders Circle. \u201cIt motivates us to continue to support our home-grown talent when we see these great business ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s award winners were: First prize of $15,000 to Kristi MacDonald and Kevin Parchment of Enviroluv (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enviroluv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.enviroluv.com<\/a><\/span>); second prize of $10,000 to Anya Kerr of Stepping Stone Early Learning Academy (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steppingstonemuskoka.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.steppingstonemuskoka.com<\/a><\/span>); third prize of $5,000 to Todd Croxall of Croxall Farms (www.croxallfarms.com). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honourable mention went to Kurt Muntz of Bubbler Buddy (www.bubblerbuddy.ca) and Ian Colquhoun of Axiom Audio<br>(www.axiomaudio.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Founders Circle for choosing our company as a Founders Choice Award winner,\u201d said Kristi MacDonald and Kevin Parchment, co-owners of Enviroluv. \u201cHaving our business recognized by such an esteemed and established group of individuals in the local community is the real honour and lends credence to what we are trying to accomplish every day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Muskoka Founders share a common belief that local entrepreneurs play a key role in creating economic growth in the region. They donate cash to fund the annual awards and provide free mentoring to competition finalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalmazzi added, \u201cThe Founders would like to thank the Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network for presenting their Impact Awards event again this year.
