This week we look at some examples. Consider how you should treat the following hands for your second bid.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Case 1:<\/span><br \/>\nSpades         xxx<br \/>\nHearts          KQxxx<br \/>\nDiamonds     Qxx<br \/>\nClubs            KQ<\/p>\n<p>Case 1: You are the opener and you open One Heart with 13 points including one length point. Your partner jumps to Jacoby 2NT also showing an opening hand with at least three-card support for your Hearts. You have no Ace nor void and a minimum hand (13-14 points). Bid Four Hearts immediately showing partner there is no slam interest in your hand.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Case 2:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Spades         Ax<br \/>\nHearts          Axxxx<br \/>\nDiamonds     Axxx<br \/>\nClubs            xx<\/p>\n<p>Case 2: Again, you are the opener and you open One Heart with 13 points including one length point. Again, your partner jumps to Jacoby 2NT. This time you are pleased to be able to show an Ace. Bidding up the line you bid Three Spades. If partner now bids Four Clubs, you know you have all the Aces. Since your hand is a minimum (13-14 points), you just bid game, Four Hearts. Partner can still decide to go further if his hand warrants more action.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Case 3:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Spades         Kxx<br \/>\nHearts          QJxxxx<br \/>\nDiamonds     AKxx<br \/>\nClubs            Void<\/p>\n<p>Case 3: You open One Heart with your unbalanced 15 points including two length points. Partner jumps to Jacoby 2NT. You bid Three Clubs showing an Ace or void in Clubs. If partner now bids Three Diamonds he shows a void in Diamonds (you have the Ace!).
