Results collected from that survey are still being analyzed and are expected to be shared in April. Results will be used to inform communities, services and programs about the adversities residents have faced during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the pandemic continues, so too does the impact on our residents and communities. While we have learned to adapt in some ways, the prolonged nature of the restrictions are directly affecting mental and physical health, livelihoods, the economy and our residents\u2019 ability to get appropriate services,\u201d said Dr. Charles Gardner, Simcoe Muskoka\u2019s medical officer of health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLearning about the impacts of the pandemic on the residents of Simcoe Muskoka provides opportunities for organizations to improve programs and provide enhanced support to those who need it most. Sharing this information with community partners and to the political decision makers will also help to ensure we can coordinate and cooperate as needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Residents of Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka are encouraged to provide feedback on their experiences, behaviours and opinions related to:<\/p>\n<p>Ability to get healthy food, or maintain living arrangements<br \/>\nIncome, stress, mental and physical health<br \/>\nAccess to health care services<br \/>\nParenting, children\u2019s behaviours and mental health<br \/>\nFollowing public health recommendations<br \/>\nHow the health unit has responded to the pandemic<br \/>\nAlcohol use, smoking, non-medical use of prescription drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, available at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simcoemuskokahealth.org\/Promos\/COVID19-impact-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.smdhu.org\/impactsurvey<\/a><\/span>, can be completed by local residents who are 18 years of age and older. Identifying information is not collected from participants and privacy is maintained.
