Technical issues, slow inputs to blame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Ontario government launched its provincial COVID-19 vaccination booking system this morning for appointments at mass immunization clinics around the province. It has been a frustrating experience for people in Simcoe Muskoka.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>According to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU), as of 10:00 a.m. today, the province had not yet input all of the Simcoe Muskoka clinic locations and appointments into their booking system.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This may result in a message to those trying to book an appointment that there are no appointments close to home,&#8221; said SMDHU via email. &#8220;The province is troubleshooting this now and aims to have this completed by end of day today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The health unit recommends that people try again later.<\/p>\n<p>The province is also working to resolve a technical issue that results in an error message that reads, &#8220;Form has been tampered with.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When it is operating correctly, residents who will be turning 80 or older in 2021 (born in 1941 or earlier) can make an appointment\u2014or have someone make an appointment on their behalf\u2014at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/bookvaccine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/bookvaccine&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1615844203845000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGgSlrJkZIlaI1ruxkt2cDvAKtFkg\">Ontario.ca\/bookvaccine<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>When booking an appointment, individuals will be asked for information from their green Ontario health card, birth date, postal code, and email address and\/or phone number.
