{"id":95360,"date":"2021-03-09T15:33:29","date_gmt":"2021-03-09T20:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=95360"},"modified":"2021-03-09T15:42:30","modified_gmt":"2021-03-09T20:42:30","slug":"downtown-road-closures-start-march-10-and-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/downtown-road-closures-start-march-10-and-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Downtown road closures start March 10 and 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Town of Huntsville and District of Muskoka announced today that road closures for construction on Main Street will begin this week.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>River Street will be fully closed starting Wednesday, March 10 to allow crews to move machinery into the construction zone.<\/p>\n<p>Full Stage 1 road closures and detours start the morning of Friday, March 12, 2021 and will continue until the end of May 2021. Dufferin Construction crews will begin to install fencing along Main Street to secure the Stage 1 construction zone, impacting some parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 1 restrictions will be in place until the end of May and will concentrate on work to the swing bridge, and underground water and sewer replacement along Main Street to River Street and Brunel Road.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Stage 1 \u2013 Road Closures<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Main Street will be closed from the swing bridge to West Street from March 12 to the end of May 2021<\/li>\n<li>River Street will be closed from High Street to Main Street from March 10 to the end of May 2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Stage 1 &#8211; Detour Routes<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Westbound and eastbound traffic will detour north of the construction area on Chaffey Street, West Road and Centre Street<\/li>\n<li>Traffic travelling north or south will be directed between Brunel Road and Centre Street along Veterans Way<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-95365\" src=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2021\/03\/Stage-1-detour.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"579\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Stages 1-4 of this project will span an estimated eight months this year, with the fifth and final stage in the spring of 2022 to wrap up all construction activities.
