Your bid shows an unlimited hand of 13-21 points.  Partner has responded two of your suit. His bid limits his hand to 6-9 points with at least three-card support for your opening suit. With this information, what choices have you for your possible second bids?<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p> Choice One: With 13-15 points you know your partnership has at most 15+9=24 points so you do not have a 25 point game. Just PASS and play two of your suit for the part score.<\/p>\n<p>Choice Two: With 16-18 points you know your partnership may have a game if partner is near his maximum nine points. (16+9=25). You invite game by bidding Two No-Trump. With 8-9 points, partner may now go to game in Four Hearts or 3NT depending on the strength and distribution of his hand.  With 6-7 points, partner should PASS your 2NT invitation.<\/p>\n<p>Choice Three: With 19-21 points, you know you have game (19+6=25). Bid the game in your suit which partner has supported.<\/p>\n<p>Next Week: Examples of one-of-a-suit opener\u2019s second bid after partner\u2019s single raise of opener\u2019s suit.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, as we all fight COVID-19 with social isolation, if you want your Bridge fix, online competition is available for all skill levels.
