<\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n“Sometimes in business deals that are complicated the two parties come to an impasse and one has to walk away,” said McAvan.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s since purchased the building at 7 Main Street.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s not just a music store, it\u2019ll be a music experience,” said McAvan. “People can come in and get expert advice on chording, guitars, technology, and music education.”<\/p>\n
Music on Main will also offer lessons from various professionals in the area including Juan Barbosa and Nathan Da Silva.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ll offer lifestyle products that are music-oriented including t-shirts, paraphernalia,” said McAvan. “We\u2019ve secured all sorts of great lines for products: Fryette amplifiers, Teye guitars, Fret-King products, boutique pedals such as Horizon Devices, and Idiot box pedals.”<\/p>\n
He\u2019s working to have a quick close on the location to get the store open and ready for those who have already come to experience his dedication to great customer service.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be my vision going forward without a dark cloud hanging over me,” said McAvan. “It\u2019s going to be a hub for the musical community in Huntsville and surrounding areas. They\u2019re going to get honesty on top of the service, on top of the service; we\u2019ll stop at nothing to make people happy. We\u2019re only going to carry products we believe in; such as MJS pickups. They\u2019re very prestigious and custom built.”<\/p>\n
McAvan is also going to build custom guitars.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019ll be very much along the lines of Tom Anderson guitars and John Suhr guitars; hot rodded, exotic woods.”<\/p>\n
He plans to hold regular events including workshops and seminars for topics related to musical education.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m excited to be on the main drag and to own and preserve a piece of Huntsville\u2019s history,” said McAvan. “Musicians of all walks of life and skill levels are going to be welcome to come in and be a part of it.”<\/p>\n
