They were PASS, Two No-Trump, Three No-Trump, Stayman and Transfers.  Each is dependent on your hand distribution and your point count.  With less than 8 points you usually PASS.  With 8-9 points you have more options.  With 10 points or more, you are going for game which requires a partnership total of at least 25 points.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>One of our readers has contacted me that, correctly, there is a sixth response I missed.  It is called \u201cQuantitative\u201d.  It is a slam invitation where the bidding goes 1NT \u2013 4NT.  That is 1NT by opener and 4NT by responder.<\/p>\n<p>Opener has 15-17 points for his 1NT bid.  Responder, bidding 4NT, is saying that he has a balanced hand and enough points (16) for a No-Trump slam if opener is at his maximum, 17 points (17+16=33).  If opener has the 17 points he then bids 6NT.
