BeaverTails have arrived in Huntsville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a sweet addition to downtown Huntsville: famous Canadian pastries company, BeaverTails, recently opened at the corner of Main Street and Brunel Road.<\/p>\n<p>The shop is the first BeaverTails location in Muskoka, and one of more than 150 around the world.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"81258\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Franchise owner-operator Michelle Hill and her family recently made the move to Muskoka. Her husband arrived first to open his own business; Hill and her two daughters joined him this past spring.<\/p>\n<p>Hill has always loved Muskoka, and with her entrepreneurial spirit she wanted to find a business that also matched the community&#8217;s spirit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To me BeaverTails was the perfect fit\u2014it\u2019s so &#8216;Muskoka&#8217;,&#8221; said Hill. &#8220;We wanted to be a part of the downtown community and BeaverTails caters really well to walk-in traffic. It truly is the best location for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hill and her daughter Lauren will be in the shop full-time and her oldest daughter, Taylor, will also be popping in to help on her days off.<\/p>\n<p>A BeaverTail is often described as a flat donut. It can be dressed with a variety of themed toppings, including Apple Pie, Oreo, and Strawberry Cheesecake.<\/p>\n<p>The most popular in the shop so far: Bananarama (chocolate hazelnut spread and bananas), The Classic (cinnamon and sugar), and the Hazel Amour (chocolate hazelnut spread with icing sugar).<\/p>\n<p>The Huntsville shop is also the first among the company&#8217;s 150-plus worldwide locations to offer the Ice Cream Parlour range, a collection of classic ice cream products, including sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and floats, served with a BeaverTails twist.<\/p>\n<p>If sweets aren\u2019t for you, there are a few savoury options to choose from as well, like the BeaverDog, a Nathan\u2019s all-beef hot dog wrapped in a BeaverTail; the Poutail, poutine on a BeaverTail; and the SayCheese, a giant mozzarella cheese stick with a BeaverTail pastry coating.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have been open less than a week and already feel so welcomed here, it\u2019s been amazing,&#8221; said Hill. &#8220;People have been lined up out the door.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Customers have been both returning BeaverTail fans as well as newbies who have never even heard of them before, she added.<\/p>\n<p>The decor in the new location differs from what you&#8217;d usually find in a BeaverTails shop as the company has recently elevated its branding. However, there are still some classic touches including a vintage canoe hanging in the seating area.<\/p>\n<p>BeaverTails Huntsville is located at 69 Main Street East and is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>They are looking for full-time, year-round employees.
