Jenny Moore and Luke Roossien are excited to announce that they\u2019re the new franchise owners of M&M Food Market in Huntsville.<\/p>\n

Luke spent the past five years working in his family’s business at Urban Rustic Living. Jenny has been home for the past four years with their children, Lennox and Sullivan.<\/p>\n

They recently decided the time was right for a new venture of their own. They knew that they wanted to stay in the community, and that they wanted a food-related business where they could be hands-on as owners.<\/p>\n

“I grew up with M&M in my life since my mom would shop there when I was growing up,” said Jenny. “My dad was a paramedic doing shift work, my mom was working, I was dancing every day after school, and my brother was in hockey\u2014this was where M&M came in. It was actually my mom that mentioned the franchise was for sale after reminiscing about how much they were a staple in my childhood.”<\/p>\n

As local residents, Jenny and Luke wanted to stand behind a Canadian brand they felt really good about while also showcasing their entrepreneurial skills. M&M Food Market fit the bill.<\/p>\n

Over the past three years, M&M Food Market has made significant changes to their products, eliminating all artificial colours, flavours, and sweeteners. They are the only national food retailer in Canada to have done so.<\/p>\n

“Recently people have become more aware about what is in their foods which is really great,” said Jenny. “Raising our kids has really changed our thinking of what we\u2019re putting on the table. We want people to be able to grab and go but still feel good about what they\u2019re buying.”<\/p>\n

Some of the company’s newest offerings include meal kits, sustainably caught fish, gluten-free options, vegan desserts, and pasta for kids. More vegan options will be coming soon.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re excited to see what else they come out with because they\u2019re constantly working with the food team in order to innovate and develop new ideas,” said Luke.<\/p>\n

Some of the notable and popular products at M&M Food Market include flash-frozen vegetables, various butcher and barbecue meats, ready-in-20-minutes meal kits, single-serve meals, and a wide variety of appetizers and desserts.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re wanting to invite people from a larger age demographic to come and shop because there is something for everyone,” said Luke.<\/p>\n

M&M Food Market is at 3-1 King William Street. The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
