I gotta say as a new mayor you never really know how these things are going to go and when the business community comes forward to support it, it\u2019s a relief frankly. Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Aitchison said sports and healthy living was the theme associated with the recipients chosen as beneficiaries of the tournament this year. They are: Canadian Tire Jump Start Foundation, which helps kids become involved in sport; Huntsville Curling Club, which ran the silent auction at the tournament and is working towards building a new curling facility; Dara Howell Women in Sport Foundation, helping young women become involved with sports; and Ironman Muskoka Experience Committee, which Aitchison said has helped market Huntsville throughout the world.<\/p>\n He thanked Devonleigh Homes for the company\u2019s support as tournament title sponsor, Lovegrove Construction as gold sponsor, Fowler Construction as title sponsor, and Tulloch Engineering for being gold sponsor.<\/p>\n Huntsville Mayor Scott Aitchison, second from left, thanks his organizing committee for a successful charity golf tournament. Growing it, developing it but not just developing it but developing it in a really, really special way with excellent product and good value,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He said Lovegrove Construction does not generally get involved in events such as the Mayor\u2019s Charity Golf Tournament, \u201cbut they said because it was me they would and I\u2019m like \u2018that\u2019s really kind, thanks guys.\u2019 I guess it helps to grow up with some of these guys.\u201d Next, Aitchison thanked Fowler Construction.<\/p>\n \u201cI used to work at Fowler Construction so it\u2019s a miracle they supported my tournament really,\u201d quipped Aitchison who described the company as reshaping the face of Muskoka.<\/p>\n They\u2019ve built Muskoka and their former owner, now passed away Bruce Evans, is no stranger to the development community as well. Aitchison<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n He also spoke about Tulloch Engineering and said he\u2019s glad they\u2019ve set up shop in Huntsville. \u201cThey\u2019re growing and working in partnership with companies like Fowler Construction and helping our community grow and be a more successful community as well,\u201d he said. \u201cThose sponsors basically helped make this tournament the huge success it was and these things just don\u2019t happen without the support of these great corporate citizens, so I thank them very much.\u201d<\/p>\n Don’t miss out on Doppler!
