{"id":82709,"date":"2020-03-16T19:25:44","date_gmt":"2020-03-16T23:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=82709"},"modified":"2020-03-16T19:26:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-16T23:26:59","slug":"ministry-of-health-recommends-restaurants-close-or-switch-delivery-method","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/ministry-of-health-recommends-restaurants-close-or-switch-delivery-method\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Health recommends restaurants close or switch delivery method"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Dr. Charles Gardner, Medical Officer of Health for the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is strongly recommending that dine-in restaurants and bars close or stop in-person delivery to limit potential spread of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p> Dr. Gardner\u2019s recommendations align with Ontario\u2019s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams, who today (March 16) urged restaurants close, or switch to a take out, delivery or drive through service method. Those recommendations also include limiting gatherings to under 50.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI recognize that these are difficult measures for our local businesses, but these are difficult times and avoiding close interactions with others helps reduce the spread of illness.
