(supplied)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Team members from the Huntsville Skating Club travelled to Sudbury&#8217;s Nickel Blades on Ice competition\u2014part of Skate Ontario&#8217;s Super Series\u2014in late February and all returned with positive results.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The local group was up against skaters from 37 other clubs over the weekend event, held Feb. 21-23, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They were all amazing and all had improved scores from their last skates,&#8221; said coach Chrissy Mantle-Marnoch. &#8220;I have such a great group of skaters who compete.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Huntsville skaters were awarded the following results:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Kaitlyn Brushey &#8211; second place in Novice<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Ainslie Vallentin &#8211; first place in both Star 7 and Pre-Juvenile<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Mikayla Markle &#8211; silver assessment in Star 3<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Carson Vallentin &#8211; bronze assessment in Star 3<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Islette Greib &#8211; silver assessment in Star 2<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Regan Markle &#8211; silver assessment in Star 2<\/p>\n<p>Kaitlyn Brushey and Ainslie Vallentin have both qualified for the provincial championships.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The other skaters aren\u2019t quite at that level yet but have given results that tell me that they are ready to move up and compete at higher levels,&#8221; said Mantle-Marnoch.<\/p>\n<p>Ainslie Vallentin said, &#8220;Competing in Sudbury was amazing! I had personal best scores in both of my programs and won gold medals for both\u2026I am thankful that so many skaters from our club came to support me and that I could cheer them on too!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Carson Vallentin was also excited to compete in Sudbury but said he felt some frustration coming off the ice. &#8220;My spins weren\u2019t as good as I hoped but I landed all my jumps and got gold level on most of them.
