With the festive season upon us, Cash Mob couldn\u2019t have been held at a better time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone>\n<p>In previous years, Jeff Carter of Hunters Bay Radio organized the Cash Mob. However, when Carter stepped down as the organizer, Michelle Ainsworth and her partner John Sailors, who are big supporters of the town, were more than willing to take on the responsibility to keep it going.<\/p>\n<p>With $20 in hand, shoppers arrived at Town Hall and took a short walk uptown following Ainsworth to the selected business.  The shopping destination was Gifts 4 Friends, and an added bonus is that the store offers no tax on all items year-round.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a database of all the stores in town and our goal is to reach every one of them,\u201d stated Ainsworth. \u201cThe goal of this isn\u2019t just for downtown, there\u2019s other businesses in the community that will be involved as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cash Mob will take place once every three to four months to promote the importance of local shopping.<\/p>\n<p>Because her job focuses specifically on community development, Ainsworth knows first-hand the value of spending money locally. She has consistently been impressed and inspired through the work she\u2019s done and this was a way for her to give back.<\/p>\n<p>Before heading out to shop, Sailors thanked the group for coming out.
