{"id":78668,"date":"2019-12-14T08:31:01","date_gmt":"2019-12-14T13:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=78668"},"modified":"2019-12-14T08:31:46","modified_gmt":"2019-12-14T13:31:46","slug":"a-thank-you-to-the-members-of-the-hospital-capital-plan-development-task-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/a-thank-you-to-the-members-of-the-hospital-capital-plan-development-task-force\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank you to the members of the hospital Capital Plan Development Task Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare Board of Directors, we would like to thank all of the Capital Plan Development Task Force members who worked together for two years to steer our community through this most recent stage of future hospital planning.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The countless hours invested by these volunteers over the course of nearly 30 Task Force meetings, the expertise, insights and perspectives that each member brought, and of course the patience and tenacity to get the job done right no matter how long it took has ensured the best proposal for our future generations. This is something that all of Muskoka and area is indebted to.<\/p>\n<p>Having now reached the milestone where MAHC has officially submitted the Stage 1 proposal to the Ministry of Health and the North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN, we want to recognize each member\u2019s invaluable contributions and commitment to the process. Their collective efforts have resulted in a great outcome for the future of health care for those we serve in Muskoka and East Parry Sound \u2013 a redevelopment proposal for two new full-service hospitals in Bracebridge and Huntsville in the future.<\/p>\n<p>It gives us great joy to say thank you to: Dr. Khaled Abdel-Razek, Scott Aitchison, Dr. Sheena Branigan, Natalie Bubela, Bruce Campbell, Charlane Cluett, Dr. Caroline Correia, Katherine Craine, Dr. Keith Cross, John Curran, Jan Davidson, Peter Deane, Donna Denny, Michael Duben, Harold Featherston, Dr. Graeme Gair, Dr. Biagio Iannantuono, Dr. Jennifer Macmillan, Dr. David Mathies, Joanne Matthews, Cathy McMurray, Esther Millar, Colin Miller, Don Mitchell, Janice Raine, Terry Shields, John Sisson, Graydon Smith, Tim Smith, Eric Spinks, Cathy Still, Karin Terziano, and Beth Ward.<\/p>\n<p>We were also blessed to have a number of individuals closely involved in land-use planning, economic development, and land ambulance focus groups, a local share working group, as well as tremendous staff and physician involvement in workshops, together with our consultants and supported by MAHC staff including Paula Bildson, Allyson Snelling and Tammy Tkachuk. I would also like to thank everyone from across our catchment area who attended community information sessions, answered surveys, and provided their feedback so we could get to a plan we can all get behind.<\/p>\n<p>Each and every one of you truly made a difference through your dedication and continued support of this important project and to ensuring we continue to plan together for our future
