Firefighters will be set up at different locations this summer to offer kids a cool treat, the chance to cool off under the spray from the fire truck and learn important fire safety messaging.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Bring the whole family for a chance to meet the fire crew, check out the fire truck, cool off and get some practical information and tips for preventing fires and staying safe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fires burn hotter and faster than ever before,&#8221; says Mike Vadlja, Fire Prevention Officer with the Huntsville\/Lake of Bays Fire Department.  &#8216;Finding new and innovative ways to engage with our communities helps us provide information to residents on the danger of home fires, the importance of working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and on the benefits of having a well-rehearsed home fire escape plan.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fire trucks will be visiting the following locations on Thursday evenings (weather permitting):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July 25 at Meadow Park playground \u2013 30 Forest View Dr., Huntsville, 6 \u2013 8pm<\/li>\n<li>August 1 at Rivermill Park, Huntsville 6 \u2013 8pm<\/li>\n<li>August 8 at Irene St. Park, Huntsville 6 \u2013 8pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!
