Although construction could start as soon as June 20, the successful contractor will likely require a few weeks to order materials and prepare to begin work. Mark Misko, the District&#8217;s Director of Transportation and Engineering said he expects stage one of the project to begin sometime in the first or second week of July.<\/p>\n<p>Notices will be posted in advance regarding any traffic disruptions and alternate routes. No full road closures are planned.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The contractor will also be required to provide 24-hour advance notice for water and sewer disruptions, and 72-hour advance notice to affected residents and businesses for sidewalk removal works.<\/p>\n<p>This is how the timeline for the project breaks down:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stage 1:<\/strong> After June 20 (likely early July) to August 30 from the swing bridge to Chaffey Street will include installation and commissioning of sewers and a base course of asphalt on the south side of King William.<br \/>\n<strong>Stage 2:<\/strong> August 30 to October 30 from Chaffey Street to Cann Street will include completion of sewers, base asphalt and curb and gutter. Cann Street will be used as a detour for westbound traffic.<br \/>\n<strong>Stage 3:<\/strong> October 30 to November 30, 2019 from the swing bridge to Cann Street will include service laterals, catch basins and surface works on the north side of King William and completion of the base asphalt.<br \/>\n<strong>Winter shut down:<\/strong> November 30, 2019 to April 2, 2020<br \/>\n<strong>Stage 4:<\/strong> April 2 to May 15, 2020 from Cann Street to Scott Street will include installation and commissioning of sewers, base asphalt and curb and gutter on the south side of King William.<br \/>\n<strong>Stage 5:<\/strong> May 15 &#8211; May 30, 2020 from Cann Street to Scott Street will include base asphalt and curb and gutter on the north side of King William, as well as completion of sewers. King William will be open on base asphalt by the end of this stage.<br \/>\n<strong>Stage 6:<\/strong> May 30 &#8211; June 15, 2020 from the swing bridge to Scott Street will include paving of the final surface course and line painting.
