Huntsville sent 25 athletes to the event, the highest contingent in over a decade, after being crowned the GBSSA Overall Combined Girls and Boys Championsip school for the third year in a row<\/a>.<\/p>\n Four HHS teams advanced to the provincial finals (Midget Boys, Junior Boys and Girls, Senior Girls), while veteran Adam Lavigne qualified as an individual in the Senior Boys category. Each race had just under 300 competitors, featuring some of the best runners in the province according to running coach Pierre Mikhail. Between 35 to 40 school teams were represented in each race.<\/p>\n Huntsville’s top teams featured the Midget Boys, who came 20th with Owen Johnstone and Judah Meaker placing in the low 100s, and the Senior Girls who came 25th with strong performances from Madi Smrtka and Emma Mensour finishing together at 131st and 132nd respectively. The Junior Girls were not far behind in 35th, while the Junior Boys came 29th with the Hoya’s best individual result of the day from Zac Pinheiro in 86th.
