Register to make a presentation or comment online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Starting today through April 9, Muskoka residents can register online to make a presentation regarding the province&#8217;s review of District government.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The process is part of a larger review of regional governments led by special advisors Michael Fenn and Ken Seiling, who were appointed to the task by Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Steve Clark. The review includes Ontario\u2019s regional municipalities\u2014Halton, York, Durham, Waterloo, Niagara, Peel, Muskoka, Oxford County, and the County of Simcoe\u2014and their lower-tier municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norman Miller urged all residents to make their voice heard. &#8220;Our government wants to make sure that the experience of real people is front of mind in every decision we make,&#8221; he said in a release. &#8220;These consultations will ensure that happens in this review of regional government so I encourage anyone living or working in Muskoka to share their ideas and comments on the role of regional government.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fenn and Seiling will be in Muskoka on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 to listen to presentations from local individuals and organizations. The meeting will be held at the District of Muskoka office at 70 Pine Street in Bracebridge from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Organizations or individuals can submit a request to speak through an online form available at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/regionalgovernment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.ontario.ca\/regionalgovernment<\/a><\/span>.
