Kind, friendly, smart, generous, a great guy, a gem\u2014these are just some of the words friends and co-workers are using online to describe Geza Czirak.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old died in a house fire on March 16<\/a><\/span>. Three other people who were in the home at the time, including his partner Christina Hamilton, managed to escape. The home was completely destroyed by the blaze.<\/p>\n

A friend, Sue Heinrich, has created a GoFundMe page<\/a><\/span> to support Hamilton and their children.<\/p>\n

On the fundraising page, Heinrich writes, “Geza had been the happiest we had ever seen him in the years since Tina came into his life and we know he would want her to be taken care of. We are setting up this memorial fund to help [Hamilton and the children] find a new home and get clothes, furniture, dishes\u2014anything that can help them move forward as he would have wanted them to.”<\/p>\n

Czirak and Hamilton worked together at Axiom Audio in Dwight. The company posted a brief tribute on their Facebook page:<\/p>\n

“We are mourning the untimely passing of one of Axiom\u2019s pillar members of staff, Geza Czirak, who died unexpectedly in a house fire this weekend. Since 1994, Geza\u2019s ready smile and casual ‘Howz it going?’ have been a fixture at Axiom. If there was ever a machine, big or small, that he couldn\u2019t rework, rebuild, repair or reinvent, we haven\u2019t seen it. He had an uncanny, mostly self-taught understanding of all things mechanical and over the years he helped Ian design innumerable testing and production machines used around the factory and testing chambers every day. There was rarely a morning that didn\u2019t start with Geza in Ian\u2019s office, plotting and planning the latest project, big or small. He could work with a large crew or by himself with equal focus and organizational skills… <\/span>He will be in our hearts forever.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Czirak’s brother, Jani, also posted a message to Facebook in memory of his sibling: “Brother, Son, Family man. You will be deeply missed. Love you Big Brother. Rest in peace… But I think that he wouldn’t want us to be sad, I think he would want us to celebrate everyone near an dear to us all an to be thankful for the people around you that make life what it is.”<\/p>\n

A celebration of life will be held at the Huntsville Legion on Saturday, March 23 from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Heinrich suggests contributions be made to the GoFundMe campaign<\/a><\/span> in his honour. Household items can be donated at Axiom Audio, 2885 Highway 60 in Dwight, Monday to Thursday between 10-4.<\/p>\n
