Submitted by the Huntsville Soccer Club<\/em><\/p>\n With swaths of warmer weather upon us, the time is now to register yourself or your children for the Huntsville Soccer Club\u2019s summer season.<\/p>\n Youth programs feature divisions from Timbits (born in 2015) to U15 (born from 2003-2006).<\/p>\n The adult programs will again have an experienced league on Thursday nights, an intermediate program featuring 7 vs. 7 games on Monday nights and the women\u2019s only introductory program on Wednesday evenings.<\/p>\n “We\u2019ve seen a great growth beginning last summer and continuing through our winter indoor programs,” says adult coordinator Chris Occhiuzzi. “We are trying to expand our experienced league to six teams from four and hope to see more registrants in our other two programs as well.”<\/p>\n Parents and players should sign up before April 1, as late fees are implemented after this date. Registration has been open since February.<\/p>\n Registering early also helps the club\u2019s volunteers better prepare for the summer. Having most, if not all, age groups full helps organizers determine team sizes, order appropriate uniforms and allocate coaches accordingly.<\/p>\n The summer season begins the week of May 20 and runs through Soccer Day on July 27 for the youth. While, the adult experienced league has a playoff night the following Thursday and pick-up games through the month of August for all programs.<\/p>\n “Ideally, we\u2019ll have all the kids and adults signed up for the summer season by the deadline day,” says club president Dave Caplan. “Most don\u2019t notice the time and effort taking place behind the scenes to create successful summer programming… Players can help by registering early so we have a solid understanding of how many players we have at each age group.”<\/p>\n\n\t\t
