For the past 10 years, F.C. Hammond Well Drilling has been giving one lucky client back the cost of a well they had installed the previous year. In some years, the winner has donated a portion of their winnings back to a local charity. So this year, the team at F.C. Hammond decided to switch things up a bit\u2014a percentage of the well draw amount will go to three local charities with their client receiving the remainder of the funds.<\/p>\n

<\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n

Hospice Huntsville, the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Fund, and The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation will all receive cheques this spring.<\/p>\n

The lucky invoice number was drawn by Mayor Scott Aitchison on behalf of the company today. The Baysville-area property owner will be contacted with the good news, and presented with their cheque in the spring as well.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a fun way for the company to give back to their customers at the beginning of each year.<\/p>\n

F.C. Hammond\u2019s founder, Frank Hammond, was Huntsville\u2019s first well driller. The family sold the company to Norm Yearley, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, in 2005. His son, Jeff, later joined him in the business. Norm retired at the end of 2018 and Jeff has taken the reins of the company.<\/p>\n
