Once creamy add the mascarpone and continue to blend.<\/p>\n<p>In separate bowl mix egg whites until they turn into fluffy white peaks. Carefully fold the egg whites into the creamy mascarpone mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Combine hot coffee and Kahl\u00faa in a separate bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Dip lady finger cookies in coffee and start layering in a 2-quart cake pan.  Once the bottom layer is done, pour half of the mascarpone mix on top and spread evenly.<\/p>\n<p>Place another layer of lady finger cookies on top, this time in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n<p>Spread the remainder of the mascarpone mix on top and garnish with cacao powder.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/That-Little-Place-Tiramisu.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Printable PDF version<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-59743 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/That-Little-Place-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"144\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/That-Little-Place-logo-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/That-Little-Place-logo.jpg 353w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px\" \/>That Little Place by the Lights is a relaxed, family-owned restaurant <\/em><em>serving pizza, homemade pasta, gelato, espresso and more. The restaurant recently returned to <\/em><em>menu service and is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.  thatlittleplacebythelights.ca<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">Whimsical Bakery Shortbread<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_59749\" style=\"width: 717px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59749\" class=\"size-full wp-image-59749\" src=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-shortbread.jpeg\" alt=\"Whimsical Bakery shortbread\" width=\"707\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-shortbread-300x143.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-shortbread.jpeg 707w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 707px) 100vw, 707px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-59749\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Whimsical Bakery Shortbread<\/p><\/div>\n<p>1 cup unsalted butter, softened<br \/>\n3\/4 cup icing sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp vanilla<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n2 cups all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>In stand mixer with paddle attachment or in bowl using wooden spoon, beat together butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy; mix in flour just until combined.<\/p>\n<p>Divide in half; shape into discs. Wrap each in plastic wrap; refrigerate until firm but not hard, about 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Working with one disc at a time, roll out dough between waxed paper to 1\/3-inch (8 mm) thickness. Using 2-inch (5 cm) cookie cutter, cut out shapes. Place, about one inch (2.5 cm) apart, on parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Chill until firm, about 15 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough, re-rolling scraps once.<\/p>\n<p>Bake in 300F oven until pale golden, about 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Let cool on pans on rack for 10 minutes; transfer to racks and let cool completely. (Make ahead: Store in air-tight container for up to one week or freeze for up to one month.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-shortbread.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Printable PDF version<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Whimsical Bakery Cranberry Cream Scones<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_59748\" style=\"width: 717px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-59748\" class=\"wp-image-59748 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-scones.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"707\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-scones-630x299.jpeg 630w, https:\/\/media-doppleronline-ca.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com\/2018\/12\/Whimsical-Bakery-scones.jpeg 707w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 707px) 100vw, 707px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-59748\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Whimsical Bakery Cranberry Cream Scones<\/p><\/div>\n<p>2 cups all-purpose flour<br \/>\n2 Tbsp white sugar<br \/>\n2 1\/2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp salt<br \/>\n3\/4 cup raisins or cranberries (optional)<br \/>\n4 Tbsp COLD butter<br \/>\n1 cup whipping or heavy cream<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350F.<\/p>\n<p>Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, whisking well.<\/p>\n<p>Using a pastry blender, cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in raisins or cranberries if desired.<\/p>\n<p>Add 1 cup cream, stirring until mixture is evenly moist. (If dough seem dry, add more cream, 1 tablespoon at a time.) Working gently, bring mixture together with hands until a dough forms.<\/p>\n<p>Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently 4 to 5 times.<\/p>\n<p>Using a rolling pin, roll dough to a 1-inch thickness. Using a 2-inch fluted round cutter, cut 12 scones from dough, re-rolling scraps as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Place scones 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
