He gets lots of mail way up there at the North Pole and sometimes he needs a bit of a hand to get to it all while he prepares for his whirlwind, one-night trip around the world.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s where helpers like the staff at Christmas Tyme in Huntsville come in. They have their very own Santa-approved mailbox where local kids can deliver their letters.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>If a child includes a return address, they&#8217;ll get a handwritten reply on official North Pole letterhead on behalf of the big guy. (And don&#8217;t worry, Christmas Tyme has a direct line to Santa and will ensure that he gets the message.)<\/p>\n<p>The kids love it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Christmas is for kids,&#8221; says Christmas Tyme owner, Anne MacDonald. &#8220;We know some of the parents and the kids just light up when they get a letter back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The feeling is mutual. Christmas Tyme staff get as much out of the experience as the kids do. Sometimes the kids draw pictures, sometimes they ask for something for a sibling, sometimes they write in a different language\u2014this year one letter was addressed to P\u00e8re No\u00ebl (Santa is a polyglot, after all)\u2014and always the letters are fun to read.<\/p>\n<p>The box was installed by the store&#8217;s previous owners, Tracey and Bob Stone, and MacDonald and her staff were excited to carry on the tradition.<\/p>\n<p>Christmas Tyme receives several dozen letters to Santa each year. If you have a child who still hasn&#8217;t sent their letter, you can drop it in the store&#8217;s special delivery box on its outside wall.
