The vacant TD Bank building in downtown Huntsville has a new owner.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>In an email the building\u2019s new owner, Tracy Powell, confirmed that she has purchased the location and is looking forward to developing it for retail.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will be approaching the Town officials and Planning department shortly,&#8221; wrote Powell. &#8220;Our proposal will be to restore the main building to its original &#8216;John Lyle&#8217; presence, so as to emerge as an attractive, vibrant retail business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Powell is not new to the area. She\u2019s had a home on Mirage Lake in Novar since 1987. She is also not new to retail. Powell is the owner of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zaharasboutique.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zahara\u2019s Boutique<\/a><\/em><\/span> located in Oakville.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have been a retailer for seven years,&#8221; wrote Powell, &#8220;and many of our customers travel to Muskoka in the summer, so it is logical for us to create a new base in Huntsville.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Powell says she thinks Huntsville is the most beautiful of the northern communities. &#8220;The downtown is special, and the mayor and council have a long term plan that is exciting. We have wanted to be part of this, and when the TD Bank building became available it was a perfect fit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/iconic-td-bank-building-may-soon-have-a-new-owner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iconic TD bank building<\/a><\/span> is a pillar in Downtown Huntsville. It was listed for sale with Jamie Lockwood, broker at Sutton Group Muskoka Realty, in February 2018 when <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/main-street-merchants-bid-farewell-to-td-neighbours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TD Bank amalgamated<\/a><\/span> its Huntsville services at its Commerce Park location.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!
