This postcard, depicting Huntsville’s swing bridge with the Anglican church on the hill, was published by by Harry Booth sometime in the early 1900s.<\/p>\n

Reader Tim Wilgress believes that the large house on the hill is the Francis House. It was built by Fred Francis, Tim’s great-great-grandfather. Fred’s daughter Annie married G.S. Wilgress who built his law office just down the hill, which later became The Book Case and Caf\u00e9 Wilgress, among other things.<\/p>\n
