He is a member of the Muskoka Kayak School and is training to become the assistant coach to his father, Andy Parry.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel has been kayaking for only three years and trains hard for his sport from spring through October each year. He paddles competitively in several disciplines: Whitewater Canoe and Kayak, Slalom and Downriver Racing. In the winter, he competes in swimming for the Muskoka Aquatic Club.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Recently, Daniel won five national titles at the Canadian Whitewater Canoe Kayak Championships, held in Kananaskis, Alberta, from August 4-6. He is the national champion in the 12 and under category for Slalom Canoe, Slalom Kayak, Downriver Sprint Single Canoe and Kayak, and the Sprint and Classic distances.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I love the thrill and the feeling of paddling in whitewater,&#8221; says Daniel.<\/p>\n<p>National Slalom Coach Michal Staniszewski says, &#8220;Daniel has the potential to go all the way to the Olympics and perhaps even to a medal. His skill level at his age is outstanding.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>His best moment in his sport so far was when he had the opportunity to train with the Senior National Kayak Team, which included Olympians, while in Oklahoma in 2017. Daniel\u2019s future goal is to compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!
