When Marly Lahn was frustrated with the lack of support in Muskoka for women going through miscarriage, she knew she had to do something to help.<\/p>\n

Although Lahn\u2019s angel baby was never named, after falling in love with the name Leighla she learned that it meant \u201cGuardian Angel\u201d and knew it was perfect for her project, Leighla’s Love Bags.<\/p>\n

After Googling \u2018miscarriage support packages\u2019 and finding a company in the states that provided love and comfort during and after miscarriage, Lahn was inspired to bring the same initiative to Muskoka.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want these packages to give moms and dads comfort when going through a hard time. Even though this isn\u2019t much, I want them to know someone is thinking of them,\u201d said Lahn.<\/p>\n

After her miscarriage in November of last year, Lahn felt alone and scared of what happens to other women going through the same trauma as her.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage, the doctors don\u2019t even warn you about what will happen to your body after it happens,\u201d said Lahn \u201cI don\u2019t want anyone to feel like no one is advocating and supporting them. I am here to support you.”<\/p>\n

Although the initiative just started in early April, Lahn has already made and given 21 love bags to women experiencing a miscarriage.<\/p>\n
