{"id":47159,"date":"2018-04-12T05:04:41","date_gmt":"2018-04-12T09:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=47159"},"modified":"2018-04-11T17:43:00","modified_gmt":"2018-04-11T21:43:00","slug":"jr-c-hawks-excited-for-the-coming-lacrosse-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/jr-c-hawks-excited-for-the-coming-lacrosse-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Jr C Hawks excited for the coming lacrosse season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Huntsville Junior C Hawks lacrosse team has high hopes for the 2018 season.<\/p>\n<p>The team has been in practice seven times already and the coaches are excited about what the players have brought to the floor. \u201cWe are very impressed with the attitudes and commitment we have from our players,\u201d said Coach Karl Carnduff.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The Hawks&#8217; full slate of 23 players comprises six matured players in their final year of Junior lacrosse, 12 players with a couple of years of experience under their shoes, and just five first-year players. &#8220;There should be no excuses for not being prepared to give 110 per cent,\u201d said Carnduff.<\/p>\n<p>With a fresh season ahead, the Junior C Hawks want to be the Team to Beat. Their goal is to go as far as they can. \u201cWe will have a fast-paced transition offense, but our defense and goal-tending will be what we rely on to reach that goal,&#8221; said Carnduff. &#8220;One team in our division does not make the playoffs, and we don&#8217;t plan on being that team. We want to go as far as we can, and I believe we have enough heart and drive to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hawks&#8217; bench staff includes co-coaches Karl Carnduff, Caleb Mckay, Kyle McFadden and James Allen. Pete Arnott, Gus McLaughlin and Tim Horton are the training staff.
