A local real estate brokerage was first surprised and then delighted to discover that they were tops among their peers in 2017.<\/p>\n

Coldwell Banker Thompson Real Estate Brokerage had a party last week to celebrate the news that they were first in North America for Coldwell Banker offices their size in North America last year. They bested more than 400 other offices to get there.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve grown and our agents have grown their careers to the point where we are getting recognized internationally, which is amazing,” says broker Scott Morrison who has been partners with Brent Stapleton for 10 years. The brokerage itself was established in 1985. “We\u2019ve been getting some awards and this year we\u2019ve gotten the biggest one ever.”<\/p>\n

But the accolades didn’t stop there.<\/p>\n

Individual agents and partnerships also received awards. Kayley Spalding came in second in Canada and eighth in North America for number of units sold. “Keep in mind there\u2019s 92,000 sales people. So it\u2019s a pretty big deal,” says Stapleton.<\/p>\n

The Muskoka Property Team \u2014 Scott Morrison, Brent Stapleton, Sue Kirkby, Brandon Stapleton \u2014 place third in Canada. And the team of Jessica Brown and Victoria Darling-Wadel were number eight in Canada.<\/p>\n

“Pretty much all of our agents are award winners at different levels,” adds Morrison.<\/p>\n

And for the first time, Coldwell Banker Thompson was the top brokerage in Huntsville Lake of Bays, too, says Morrison. They have offices in Huntsville, Burk\u2019s Falls, Sundridge, South River and Port Loring.<\/p>\n

This year, they’re excited to launch the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury brand at their offices, which Morrison notes has listed properties like the Versace estate, Wayne Gretzky’s home and Jon Bon Jovi’s New York condo.<\/p>\n

“Coldwell Banker has a pretty big reach internationally so we are hoping next year it will be an even bigger story,” says Stapleton.<\/p>\n

“Who knows where we\u2019ll go now,” adds Morrison. “We wouldn\u2019t have thought we could get here \u2014 2018 could be big.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
