{"id":43909,"date":"2018-01-25T15:12:50","date_gmt":"2018-01-25T20:12:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/huntsville.dopperonline.ca\/?p=43909"},"modified":"2018-01-25T15:17:52","modified_gmt":"2018-01-25T20:17:52","slug":"capital-development-task-force-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/capital-development-task-force-update\/","title":{"rendered":"MAHC releases the latest update for the Capital Plan Development Task Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This is the latest update from Muskoka Algonquin Health Care (MAHC) on the Capital Plan Development Task Force which is tasked with overseeing Stage 1 Proposal planning as part of MAHC&#8217;s planning for the future work.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Capital Plan Development Task Force met on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1344205234\"><span class=\"aQJ\">December 11<\/span><\/span> and reconvened after the holidays on January 15.<\/p>\n<p>The task force discussed community consultation and agreed to arrange an evening for the public to make presentations through delegations to the task force. More details will follow.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Task force members participated in workshops with hospital clinicians and community health care providers to define and develop two of the models the task force is considering. The workshops have also been attended by MAHC Board Directors, who as observers at the workshops, are gaining insight into the comprehensive approach toward planning quality care and the various challenges being discussed.<\/p>\n<p>One Site Inpatient, One Site Outpatient model: Through a workshop held on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1344205235\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Nov. 17<\/span><\/span>, a consensus model was reached where participants agreed on the programs\/services that could be provided at an outpatient site, the programs\/services that could move to community in the future, and the programs\/services and beds required at an inpatient site.<\/p>\n<p>Two Sites &#8211; Not Status Quo: A workshop was held on Jan. 8 to develop a Two Sites &#8211; Not Status Quo model. Four different groups worked through the task creating four different models that will be further distilled. The similarities of the models will be incorporated and further work is being undertaken to marry the similarities of the models and work through the differences using additional workshops to arrive at a final draft model that could be proposed for consensus.<\/p>\n<p>The task force was briefed on meetings that continue to occur with key stakeholders regarding the potential impacts of each of the three models on land use planning, paramedic services, economic development and local share fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>The next task force meeting is <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1344205236\"><span class=\"aQJ\">January 29, 2018<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!
