Dr. Jennifer MacMillan and her colleagues want their patients to receive the highest quality surgical care possible at MAHC. They have requested a new Sentinel Lymph Node detection device that will enable them to perform breast cancer surgery with a minimally invasive approach. Can\u2019t Stop the Beat<\/em>\u2019s directors’ and cast donation of $12,500 will go a long way to make this purchase possible. The Hospital Foundation and Hospital Auxiliary will split the $60,000 cost so this equipment can be ordered immediately.<\/p>\n

SNS Productions, Sherisse Stevens, Neil Barlow and Suzanne Baxter created another spectacular show at the Algonquin Theatre in support of the Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary. As always it was a crowd pleaser with outstanding performances by Parres Allen, Serge Charlebois, Kip Daynard, Tracy Hoehner, Nick Kulchar, Jennifer Strype, as well as a few newcomers to the Algonquin stage, Bridget Lougheed and young Selah Tate.<\/p>\n

The medical community was well represented showcasing the hidden talents of Dr. Jennifer MacMillan, Dr. John Rea and Pharmacist Bill Coon who brought the house down with their humorous skit and fun song and dance routines.<\/p>\n

As always, Neil\u2019s first rate band, with Sherisse on piano, and Suzanne and Tracey Hoehner\u2019s excellent choreography kept the beat moving. Under Sue Campbell\u2019s direction, the Muskoka Dance Academy\u2019s youthful exuberance was very entertaining. Paul Feist with Aussa Penniall had the house rolling in the aisles with his style of hilarious redneck comedy.<\/p>\n

A number of people commented that the backdrop photos depicting hospital volunteers at work added to Sherisse and Tracy\u2019s poignant and moving rendition of “For Good”.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, Sherisse Stevens, Neil Barlow and Suzanne Baxter have generously donated their time and theatrical expertise to create five variety shows in support of the Hospital Auxiliary\u2019s patient care and equipment purchases. They have been instrumental in raising an amazing $46,600!<\/strong> Over and above this amount, Tangerine Productions, Sherisse and Jenn Creasor, have donated proceeds from Calendar Girls<\/em>, Nunsense<\/em>, Steel Magnolias<\/em> and The Odd Couple<\/em> to the Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
