Huntsville Public School (HPS) is holding their fifth annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/maps\/place\/Huntsville+Public+School\/@45.327038,-79.2238487,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4d2a722fce724f77:0x628df1158d88464e!8m2!3d45.327038!4d-79.22166\">Huntsville Public School (16 Caroline Street West).<\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe concept of our school Christmas Bazaar came five years ago from our Parent Council,&#8221; said bazaar organizer, Mary Wright. &#8220;Myself, Pam Nadrofsky and Jen McCague decided to tackle doing a Christmas Bazaar. We then looked to the school community for volunteers. Every year the bazaar has gotten bigger and bigger. We are now filling every classroom on the main floor of the school.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The event is run completely by volunteers and is hosted by Huntsville Public School\u2019s Parent Council. The volunteers are comprised of family members, teachers, students, school administration, community members and former graduates.<\/p>\n<p>This year the bazaar will have more than 40 vendors, many of whom are local residents and have been participating since the very first year. The types of crafts that will be for sale at the bazaar include: knitting, preserves, woodworking, jewellery, pottery, soaps, custom dog accessories, baby bibs, candles, wreaths, photography, and maple syrup.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with handmade goods, the bazaar will also feature a bake sale, a door prize, a raffle, a food counter and a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning starting at 10:30 a.m. While admission is free, Huntsville Public School gladly accepts donations to their fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the money raised from the bazaar will go toward constructing a new playground that is accessible for all to use. It amazes me every year the involvement of our school community.  We have so many people that are dedicated to the well being of our school and our students.
