Check out the Adult\/Senior Skate, Adult Shinny, Senior 65+ Shinny, Women’s Only Shinny, the Parent & Tot\/Homeschool Skate, or the weekend family skates. \nStop in for a healthy treat and coffee at the free, weekday Healthy Coffee Break Drop-in break drop in, and meet some new people whether you’re at the Active Living Centre for another activity or not. If you want something more substantial, join the Wednesday Diners’ Club Luncheon and enjoy a delicious entree, dessert and tea, coffee or juice. There’s something new every week – remember to call ahead the day before to RSVP and then bring $9 and your appetite.<\/p>\nIf you like your socializing with some movement thrown in, head outside for the Tuesday Outdoor Walking Club for a vigorous hour-long walk or hike, take a break from work at the Wednesday Lunch Break Walk \u2014 urban poles are optional \u2014 or walk the track in the Don Lough Arena, with or without poles, any time unless there’s a ticketed event. There’s no fee for walking programs or track use.<\/p>\n
Love to play games? Meet some new friends over cards or a board at the drop-ins for dominoes, bid euchre, or cribbage, Scrabble, and chess. Games drop-ins are just $1.<\/p>\n
How about a little friendly competition?
\n<\/strong>Maybe you used to have a table in your basement, maybe you’ve never played before \u2014 either way, table tennis is great fun. Drop in Monday afternoons or Wednesday evenings to give it a try.<\/p>\nPickleball has quickly become a popular pastime for many. Never played before? Imagine a mix between tennis, table tennis and badminton. It’s lots of fun, and there are plenty of players available to show you the ropes. Give it a try Thursdays between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. and again from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Both of these programs cost $2.50 to play.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Whether you prefer quieter activity like Wellness Qi Gong \u2014 a flowing series of gentle movements \u2014 or something a little more uptempo like Line Dancing, there are options to suit just about every style. Both of these are ongoing, registered programs, but you can drop in during Huntsville Week for just $10. Check out the new, free F<\/span>itness Activity Station Drop-in and try out a variety of exercises in a circuit. <\/span><\/p>\nIf you love the water, you can get moving in the pool, too. Try out the incredibly popular Hydrorider Aquabikes on Wednesday evening. It’s a spin class in the water!. Fees apply and you must reserve a bike in advance. Other sessions are available each week, too \u2014 check the Fall\/Winter Leisure Guide<\/a><\/span> for details. Also check out the H20 Boot Camp for a mix of on-land and in-water exercise using a variety of equipment, including aquamats. Or if you really just want to do your own thing, come out to a Leisure Swim. One lane is available for lap swimming.<\/p>\n(Pssst! You can drop in to an ongoing class on Tuesday evening during Huntsville Week and give it a try. The drop-in fee is $10 \u2014 bring your own ukulele or try one supplied by the instructor.<\/p>\n
