The 2017 Ladies Slo Pitch season has come to an end.<\/p>\n
The results were close but the Hutcheson, Reynolds and Caswell Ltd. Team Twits took the title by one point with 22 games played, 20 wins, zero ties and two losses for a total of 40 points. Great job by all of the ladies’ teams and congratulations to the 2017 league champs!<\/p>\n
Casey Rosbottom Menard from Nadrofsky Lumber reminisced about the season. \u201cWe had fun choosing a player from each game this year and to recognize them for their efforts, achievements and successes. Through the ongoing support of teammates and coaches, each player can strive to set goals, have fun and enjoy playing baseball. Over the years it is amazing to see new players join the league and ongoing players that are learning new skills and striving to play their best at each game. It was hard picking one player from each game, however, each one of these ladies deserved to be recognized for their achievements! Thank you for allowing us to centre you out and for accepting our Nadrofsky wood medallions! Congrats to everyone on a great season!\u201d<\/p>\n
To finish off the season, the league held a playoff tournament on September 9 and 10. The weekend was full of fun in the sun, keeping warm in the chill of the evening and sharing laughs with friends and family.<\/p>\n
Each team had determination, excellent game play and amazing cheers to motivate their teammates. The ladies teams played hard through the exhaustion with some success, some injuries and some losses but at the end of the weekend everyone was still celebrating an awesome season.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
