Last week we shared Lake of Bays Mayor Bob Young’s initiative to have Highway 60 from Highway 11 to the west gate of Algonquin Park renamed Tom Thomson Parkway.<\/p>\n

<\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n

The Town of Huntsville passed a resolution in support of the renaming at its May 23 meeting and, according to Young, so have other municipalities such as Algonquin Highlands. He said the idea has been well received by area politicians, community and business owners as well.<\/p>\n

We want to know what you think. Would you support the renaming of Highway 60 to Tom Thomson Parkway? If not, what would you suggest it be named or would you like it to remain the same?<\/p>\n
