The Rotary Club of Huntsville proudly presented a cheque in the amount of $1,000 to the Meeting Place of Huntsville on May 10.<\/p>\n

<\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n

The Meeting Place Centre for Growth and Healing<\/a><\/span> provides programs for local youth suffering from trauma-related mental or emotional health issues. This program provides those local youth who are in need with an opportunity to understand the effects of trauma and loss, to develop tools for resilience and self care, and a safe environment in which to increase self awareness and foster giving relationships.<\/p>\n

Pictured above is Marie-Louise Bechthold accepting a cheque on behalf of The Meeting Place from Rotary Club of Huntsville President, Jennifer Jerrett. Marie-Louise shared the success story of the most recent recipient, a young local woman who celebrated her completion of the program and then carried on to receive her certification as a secondary school teacher.<\/p>\n
