For months, Speicher knew he was going to purchase the Habitat home being built nearby, but couldn\u2019t tell anyone.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI saw him rubbing his hand on some new laminate we brought it, and James said \u2018this would look good in my new house\u2019,\u201d recalled Taylor Carpet One Owner Wrenn Mann. \u201cI didn\u2019t know at the time, it was a big secret, so I just thought to myself it was some wishful thinking \u2013 he\u2019s thinking positive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Speicher was finally able to reveal to Mann his family would be moving into their new home on May 1, the flooring was still stocked and ready.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve donated all the flooring at cost,\u201d said Mann, which includes the laminate, the vinyl and the stair covering for the whole unit. \u201cIt was great, and so exciting to find out that day he was one of the recipients of the build and then to find out he was keeping it from me,\u201d he laughed.<\/p>\n<p>Speicher says his family has been overwhelmed by the local businesses and volunteers who have supported the local build and the kindness he has received since being named a Habitat partner family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always great to have support everywhere, it\u2019s the best part of this community. We get support everywhere we go.
