It will be held between 4 and 6 p.m. in the large activity room at the Landing, located at 65 Rogers Cove Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Jarlette Health Services, the owner and operator of the Muskoka Landing Long Term Care Centre, is seeking to rezone the property, which would result in the addition of a retirement lodge and seniors\u2019 townhouses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that a concern from area residents has been the height of the proposed retirement lodge. The present rezoning application requested an increase in building height from 12 to 18 metres, in order to accommodate the proposed retirement lodge. Since the second public meeting on November 16, 2016 at the Town offices, our architects and consultants have revisited the idea of building two storeys above the south wing of the existing long term care home, which would reduce the proposed building height of the retirement lodge from 18 metres to 15 metres,\u201d states the open house invitation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"modern-quote full\"><p>We are confident that this option can provide a workable alternative for all, lowering the overall height of the proposed retirement lodge to 4 storeys, accommodating approximately 100 to 120 retirement lodge suites. The suite count will depend on the final mix of independent living, assisted living and memory care suites necessary to make the project economically viable and meeting the needs of the community as a whole.<cite> Jarlette Health Services, owner and operator of Muskoka Landing<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Town\u2019s Planning Committee will hold another public meeting on the proposed changes, according to Town Manager of Planning Services, Kirstin Maxwell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be an additional public meeting to review\/discuss the revised proposal.  I anticipate it will be at the Feb 15 Planning Committee meeting.
