Although there\u2019s likely to be a vast digital archive for people in the future to view Huntsville\u2019s past, it can be telling to see what items a town\u2019s people choose to preserve for future viewing.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Huntsville\u2019s 2017 time capsule will be sealed in the next few months, but there\u2019s still room for more items and the Town of Huntsville wants to know what other items you think should be included.<\/p>\n<p>The capsule \u2013 a bench that was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/what-should-go-in-huntsvilles-time-capsule\/\" target=\"_blank\">built by Huntsville High School (HHS) students<\/a><\/span> \u2013 is currently in the Canada Summit Centre (look for it in the hallway to the left of Customer Service), but will eventually be installed in the new swing bridge master\u2019s cabin which was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/hhs-students-to-build-new-swing-bridge-masters-cabin\/\" target=\"_blank\">also built by HHS students<\/a><\/span>. The log book that\u2019s attached to the capsule already has a long list of suggested items.<\/p>\n<p>Some, as you would expect from the capsule\u2019s current location, are sports related: a Huntsville Hawks jersey, a lacrosse ball, a hockey puck and a medal from Band on the Run.<\/p>\n<p>Some speak to life in Huntsville today: a grocery flyer, a pair of flip flops, bug spray, a maple leaf, a copy of the HHS 2017 yearbook, and pictures of downtown Huntsville and its waterfront.<\/p>\n<p>One young writer \u2013 and perhaps budding environmentalist \u2013 suggested a water sample. We hope that future Huntsvillians would find their water to be better rather than worse than the past.<\/p>\n<p>Current technology made the list in the form of an iPhone containing pictures of town.<\/p>\n<p>And some items are of a more of a national nature: all of Canada\u2019s current coins and a Canadian flag.<\/p>\n<p>You can see the rest of the suggestions and add your own by stopping by the Canada Summit Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Don\u2019t miss out on Doppler!
