This aerial view of Huntsville, looking north, is from the 1950s by AnnaBelle Studio. The main intersection is West Street South, Minerva Street on right which becomes High Street on left. St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is on the corner of West Street. South and High Street. Blackburn’s Marina is on east side of Muskoka River. The new fire hall, which was built in 1951, can be seen behind the town hall building with the clock tower, north of the church. (Photo and details courtesy of Muskoka Digital Archives)<\/p>\n

Dave Johns tells us: The aerial view of the Town was probably taken around 1952. Union Garage and A&R Motors were located on Main Street to the south of the swamp. Bob Hunt\u2019s garage, grandson of our founder, can be seen on John Street, where Bob claimed some of the swamp his gramps once owned. A lot of buildings have disappeared.
