{"id":224538,"date":"2026-06-04T13:00:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T17:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/?p=224538"},"modified":"2026-06-04T13:00:30","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T17:00:30","slug":"helena-renwick-announces-shell-be-running-for-town-and-district-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/helena-renwick-announces-shell-be-running-for-town-and-district-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Helena Renwick announces she&#8217;ll be running for Town and District Council"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Huntsville Town Councillor Helena Renwick has officially announced her candidacy for Muskoka District Council in the upcoming municipal election.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In a letter to residents, Renwick said she is seeking election to represent the community she and her family have called home for the past 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis community has been home to my family for 30 years,\u201d Renwick said. \u201cMy husband Cameron and I raised our three children here, and over the years I\u2019ve had the privilege of serving Huntsville in many different ways\u2014through volunteer work, community organizations, and most recently on Huntsville Town Council.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renwick is currently serving on council and has held leadership roles as Vice Chair of Corporate Services and Co-Chair of Community Services. She said her experience in municipal government has reinforced her belief in the importance of thoughtful and community-focused leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her time on council, Renwick said she has worked to support responsible decision-making, sound budgeting, and programs designed to strengthen the community.
