{"id":222352,"date":"2026-05-11T07:40:50","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:40:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/?p=222352"},"modified":"2026-05-11T07:40:53","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:40:53","slug":"two-drivers-face-stunt-driving-charges-for-racing-down-hwy-400","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/two-drivers-face-stunt-driving-charges-for-racing-down-hwy-400\/","title":{"rendered":"Two drivers face stunt driving charges for racing down Hwy 400"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at approximately 12:15 p.m.,\u00a0members of OPP observed two vehicles travelling southbound on Highway 400 at high rates of speed while overtaking surrounding traffic in a coordinated effort.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The two vehicles were observed travelling at 172 km\/h in a posted 110 km\/h zone.\u00a0Officers subsequently conducted traffic stops on both vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old from Sudbury was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drive motor vehicle &#8211; perform stunt &#8211; excessive speed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive motor vehicle &#8211; perform stunt &#8211; race a motor vehicle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fail to surrender insurance card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A 28-year-old from Lynden was also charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drive motor vehicle &#8211; perform stunt &#8211; excessive speed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive motor vehicle &#8211; perform stunt &#8211; Race a Motor Vehicle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both drivers were issued 30-day driver&#8217;s licence suspensions, and both vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
