A second call reported that one man had been assaulted by two others. The incident was captured on CCTV in a supermarket parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Video evidence showed one of the men being knocked to the ground, where he was then kicked while down. The victim later staggered to a vehicle and drove away. Taylor Cottrill was identified as the individual who kicked the victim in the chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defence counsel told the court the men did not know each other prior to the incident. The altercation began after Cottrill allegedly made a comment to a woman who was with the victim and gave her his phone number. The victim then confronted Cottrill, leading to what was described as a consensual fight.
