No ice is safe ice. Anyone planning to venture onto the ice should check the ice conditions often,&nbsp; plan ahead, and be prepared for an emergency.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Higher-than-normal water flow conditions are occurring throughout the area due to recent rainfall and snowmelt. Slippery stream banks and fast-flowing, cold water will create hazardous conditions around all water bodies. Residents are reminded to keep a close watch on weather conditions, regularly check for updated messages, exercise caution near fast-moving rivers and streams, and maintain close supervision of children and pets.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents who have been affected by high water and flow conditions in the past should  continue to take necessary action to protect\/secure any vulnerable property in proximity to rivers and lakes and closely monitor developing conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lower-lying portions of known flood-prone areas may be impacted to various degrees as runoff from rainfall and melting snow enters watercourses.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry is closely monitoring the weather and developing watershed conditions.&nbsp; Further updates will be issued as appropriate.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Weather System&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather forecast is calling for daytime highs of -4\u00b0C to +3\u00b0C, and overnight lows are forecasted between -18\u00b0C and -1\u00b0C for the next 7 days. Forecasts also anticipate that the area will receive up to 15cm of snow over the next 7 days.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Current Conditions&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>River flows in many areas of the district are at elevated levels.
