{"id":213187,"date":"2025-12-30T11:57:51","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T16:57:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/?p=213187"},"modified":"2025-12-30T11:57:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T16:57:53","slug":"northlanders-proposed-schedule-includes-stops-in-gravenhurst-bracebridge-and-huntsville","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/northlanders-proposed-schedule-includes-stops-in-gravenhurst-bracebridge-and-huntsville\/","title":{"rendered":"Northlander\u2019s proposed schedule includes stops in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ontario Northland is moving ahead with plans to restore passenger rail service between Toronto and northeastern Ontario, with the Northlander train expected to return sometime in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Ontario Northland has released a tentative service schedule for passenger service between Toronto and Timmins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed service would operate along a 740-kilometre corridor between Toronto\u2019s Union Station and Timmins, with 16 planned stops along the route. Communities identified in the tentative schedule include Langstaff, Gormley, Washago, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville, South River, North Bay, Temagami, Temiskaming Shores, Englehart, Kirkland Lake (Swastika), Matheson, Timmins and Cochrane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service will also offer rail connections to Cochrane, where passengers can transfer to the Polar Bear Express for travel to Moosonee on the James Bay coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ontario Northland has not yet released ticket prices, noting fares will be determined closer to the official launch.
