{"id":213014,"date":"2025-12-24T12:53:56","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T17:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/?p=213014"},"modified":"2025-12-24T13:00:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T18:00:28","slug":"kiwanis-draw-helps-community-members-in-need-and-gives-you-great-odds-of-winning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doppleronline.ca\/huntsville\/kiwanis-draw-helps-community-members-in-need-and-gives-you-great-odds-of-winning\/","title":{"rendered":"Kiwanis draw helps community members in need and gives you great odds of winning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One of the recurring themes Kiwanis Huntsville Muskoka Club President Rick Brooks says he sees clearly is food insecurity. <\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Kiwanis locally has always been there for the support of families through our active involvement in food drives throughout the year, including\u00a0&#8216;Project Porchlight&#8217;\u00a0and <em>&#8216;Christmas in July.&#8217;<\/em> Although each of these are seen as successful, and with other organizations trying as hard, it never seems to be enough,&#8221; says Brooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kiwanis has now partnered with\u00a0Bullock&#8217;s Your Independent Grocer\u00a0and\u00a0Metro<em>\u00a0<\/em>to present the\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Kiwanis Super Grocery Calendar Draw.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets are now on sale for this draw. Three tickets will be drawn every third Wednesday of the month, from January to October, for grocery vouchers valued at $100, $200, and $500. Tickets are $50 each, and the winning tickets are returned to the drum after each draw.
