The convictions included break and enter, theft, assaulting a police officer, choking, carrying a weapon and breaching several court orders.<\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"float: left; margin-right: 14px;\"><strong><broadstreet-zone zone-id=\"45658\" keywords=\"\" soft-keywords=\"true\" zone-alias=\"\"><\/broadstreet-zone><\/strong><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Court heard that on March 12, 2024, Ontario Provincial Police were called to a reported break and enter at Westside Fish and Chips in Huntsville. Surveillance video showed two men entering the business and stealing approximately $4,000 from the cash till and a safe. Police later received information from a member of the public who identified Childerhose and another man as being responsible for the break-in, as well as for similar incidents in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2024, Childerhose was involved in an altercation that prompted another police response. Officers were told he was in the company of an individual he was prohibited from associating with under existing court orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that same month, police were called to a disturbance at the Dollarama store in Huntsville. Court heard Childerhose was inside the store carrying a 7.5-inch knife, causing several people to flee out of concern for their safety. A woman recognized him, and he was captured on CCTV footage. He was arrested nearby. During the arrest, Childerhose spat on one of the officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court also heard that on July 29, 2025, OPP were contacted after Childerhose tampered with his ankle monitor, breaching his release conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Childerhose has a prior criminal record, the court was told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was sentenced to 141 days served in pre-trial custody, followed by an additional 224 days in custody.
